Measurement of Wind pattern is critically needed to understand monitoring air quality data and for air quality modelling and management. Meteorological data are back bone of dispersion modelling also where prediction of incremental ambient air pollutant concentration is mainly depend upon emission load and prevailing met data of an area. Met data measurement need to be done at 10m above the ground level.

WM 721 is fully automatic wind monitoring system fitted with 8 channel data logger user can select averaging period from 1 minute to 99 hour as per requirement. WM 721 supplied with rechargeable battery so that if power is not available recording remain continue upto 12 hrs. A 3 meter high stand for sensor mounting is supplied with WM 721. Each sensor fitted with 3 meter long cable.

Data logger has facility to transfer data either through SD card or optional RS 232/485 to USB modbus. Memory of the logger is enough to record more than 4 months meteorological data with log frequency of 1hr for all sensors. A windrose preparation software is provided with each WM 721 using which coloured circular wind rose diagram can be drawn for required period. All data from logger is transferred in Excel sheet. Software is with any operating system equipped with MS Excel.
