The AAS 118 Gaseous Pollutants Sampler is designed
for sampling of various gaseous pollutants present in
ambient/indoor air. In sampler air is bubbled through
specific reagents kept in impingers where gaseous
pollutants like SO2, NO2, NH3, Formaldehyde, O3, etc.
get absorbed . Later collected samples can be analyzed
as per standard wet chemistry method.
The AAS 118 is an independent stand alone monitoring
instrument, where a suction pump is also made an
integral part of the sampler, besides Digital Timer and
Time Totalizer, and other accessories so that HVS/RDS
is not needed for gaseous pollutants monitoring in field.
In AAS118 improved valve design has been incorporated
which ensure that flow is not reduced significantly during
sampling period due to deposition of fine particles
escaping from impingers
The AAS 118 is housed in a robust powder coated
cabinet designed for outdoor field use. The unit is small,
and light weight. Provision for simultaneous sampling of
four gaseous pollutants is available in the sampler.
