Bulky instruments like RDS while their use continuously in field flow rate
likely of to be drifted with bear and tear of blower, orifice plate and
manometer system. Therefore flow rate calibration should be checked time to time
to know the drift if any. If drift is beyond acceptable range manometer assembly
orifice need to be attended timely as an out come of the intermediate checks.
The AAC 721 Top Loading Field Flow Calibrator for High Volume Respirable Dust
Sampler (any make any model) is used for intermediate checks Figure -1 shows the
various parts of the calibrator. The system can be fitted at the air inlet pipe
of the Respirable Dust Sampler (RDS) or Filter holder screen of HVS AAC 721
allows user to verify instrument flow metering accuracy by comparison with a
standard calibrated orifice of Top Loading Field Flow Calibrator
Ecotech gets each AAC 721 calibrated using primary standard Rootsmeter at NABL
accredited lab available in house. The calibration certificate with NABL symbol
of each system is supplied with Top Loading Field Flow Calibrator for
intermediate checks.
The AAC 721 Calibrator consists of a Calibrated Orifice with knurled nut, a
coupling pipe. The entire system is supplied with needed tubing ‘O’ rings tools
and carrying case with easy to transport. The AAC 721 calibrator can be used to
check the RDS flow accuracy in the field.
