The AAS 118TE independent sampler has been designed for sampling of various gaseous pollutants
present in ambient air. In attachment unfiltered air is sucked and bubbled through specific reagents
kept in impingers where gaseous pollutants (SO2,
NO2, NH3, & O3), get absorbed in chemicals. Later
collected chemical samples one can analyze as
per standard wet chemistry method.
The AAS 118TE Peltiers are used to keep the box
cool upto 25-30ºC below ambient temperature.
This means that even in peak summer when
outdoor temperature goes above 40ºC Impingers
placed in the AAS 118TE remain at 10-15ºC.
A digital temperature controller cum indicator
constantly monitors and display the temperature of
impinger sampling reagents. In AAS 118TE
focused cooling is taking place as per design of
cooling plate around impingers. An aluminum block
is an integral part of cooling system where
impinger are embedded. This block is getting
cooling with the help of Peltiers. once temp in
desired range is achieved it is maintained using
temperature controller.
Flow meter and manifold assembly fitted in the
sampler is remain at ambient temperature thus
there is no need to incorporate temperature
correction.
